He was head of the subgroup for legal aspects of AI on the panel of experts with the Minister for Digitalization regarding the drafting of the assumptions for AI strategy for Poland. He is the leader of the Working Party on Ethical and Legal Aspects of AI organized by Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland.

He is also a member of the Digital Chair of Ethics and Law and member of the Steering Committee UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2021). Roman Bieda combines his professional duties with lecturing. He lectures on intellectual property law and new technologies law at the Warsaw School of Economics, Kozminsky University and Katowice School of Economics.

Riccardo Campa is Full Professor of Sociology and Director of the History of Ideas Research Centre at the Jagiellonian University. He is also editor-in-chief of the journal “Orbis Idearum: European Journal of the History of Ideas”. Prior to becoming an academic, Campa was a police lieutenant and a journalist. He is also founder and honorary president of the Italian Transhumanist Association, former director of the World Transhumanist Association (2006-2008), fellow of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, and researcher at the Military Centre for Strategic Studies of the Italian Ministry of Defense. His research interests mainly focus on the sociology of science and technology, futures studies, transhumanism, and the history of ideas.

Dr. Wing-Hin Chung was appointed Head, Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Berlin in November 2012.

After graduating with a master degree in business administration, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Institute for Management of Free University Berlin. During this period, he gained his PhD with a dissertation on international joint ventures.

He then started to work in a garment trading and manufacturing company with headquarters in Hong Kong and production bases in China. At the same time, he spent several years as a guest lecturer for German-Chinese business relations at Baptist University in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chung is an expert on both macro-economic development and international trade, and he has extensive sales and leadership experience in the private sector. During his tenure at InvestHK, he has helped numerous companies and start-ups from Europe to set up successfully in Hong Kong.

Dr. Wing-Hin Chung grew up in Germany and is a German citizen. He speaks German, English, Cantonese and Mandarin. After an extended period of time in Hong Kong, he moved back to Germany and lives in Berlin since November 2012.

Dr Riccardo Vecellio Segate is a legal researcher and policy consultant in law & technology, public international law, and intellectual property rights. His research works across these fields are published in the world-leading journals (by Oxford, Cambridge, Columbia, UCLA, North Carolina, etc.), awarded research prizes (eg the Best Young Scholar Paper Prize at the 2019 Algorithms Conference in Fukuoka) and regularly cited by parliaments, courts, and regulators globally (including most recently South Korea’s National Assembly and Hangzhou Intermediate People’s Court).

He is currently a Research Associate at The Alan Turing Institute (London) and previously worked as a Lecturer and Postdoc in Law & Tech at the University of Dundee.
